Sticky drumsticks from the Air fryer
Ingredients:
- - 8 chicken drumsticks
- - 1/2 cup soy sauce
- - 1/4 cup honey
- - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- - 2 cloves garlic, minced
- - 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- - 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- - Salt and pepper to taste
- - Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
4. Remove the drumsticks from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching.
5. Cook the drumsticks in the air fryer for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
6. Once the drumsticks are cooked, remove them from the air fryer and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.
7. Serve the sticky drumsticks hot and enjoy!
